With a background in print design, Sam Schobbe’s collection is an exploration of colour, material and how the two relate and react with each other. As individual pieces one might notice a brushstroke or simple clash of colour, but when the collection came together as a whole, it did so as a complete canvas. The collection itself, entitled WHIRLWIND, is inspired by her own dealing with ADHD, and the fact that bright colours could transform the stimuli and diverging thoughts her ADHD cause. ’WHIRLWIND is a print collection based on the positive characteristics from ADHD translated into designs and fabric,’ she says.
